Can a cell generate the potential difference across its terminals, even when no current is drawn from it? Give reason.In putting ohms law(v=ir) in this, we get v as 0 but thats not the case.
Explain pls tell the answer. i will mark u brainliest.

Answer:

yes, it is possible.

Explanation:

If u connect a battery in a circuit, it will have a certain emf that will create a certain potential difference but at the same time, the switch will be open nd no current will flow due to infinite resistance.

Mathematically, according to ohms law,

       V= IR

  As R is infinity in an open circuit,

     I=V/R

     I=V/∞

     I=0

as r is infinity in an open circuit

l=v/R

l= V/♾

l=0
