Can a child have blood group o if his parents have blood group A and B. Explain

No It is not possible that a child can have blood group O if his parents carry A and B blood groups.It is because the Antigens present on the RBCs of parents will either give rise to a blood group of A or B or AB but not O.

Yes
if the parents have blood group A and B respectively therefore they have AO and BO as blood groups. then when they breed their offspring might have O blood group.
