Can a computer work without memory?

It will not work. Without any hard data storage, or RAM (random access memory). ... You can run the bios (basic input output system) (As far as I know this works with most motherboards, some might require RAM) but usually people only use BIOS to select a thumb drive, or storage device to boot from.
