NO OSMOSIS MAY NOT TAKE PLACE IN A DEAD CELL AS AQUIPORINS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE WATER TO MOVE FROM ONE CELL TO OTHER.BUT IN DEAD CELL THEY ARE DESTROYED OR NOT PRESENT SO IT DOES NOT ALLOW WATER TO MOVE THROUGH.

Aquaporins are only present in living cells, which help in the absorption of water through osmosis. They are not present in a dead cell. Therefore, dead cells cannot absorb water by osmosis.
