Can a direct current be used for the measurement of electrical conductivity of a
solution? If not, why?

Explanation:

If the conductivity of a solid in a laboratory is being measured, then DC may work. However, if the conductivity of a metal is being measured insitu there may already be some DC present in the conductor. In this instance the use of DC will not result in a correct conductivity measurement.
