Yes

Because fire is a source of light itself, it cannot produce shadows. If the surface is being lit by the fire itself, then the surface just cannot produce a shadow. ... You will see that only the shadow of your hand and the matchstick will appear on the wall! The flame will be nowhere to be seen.
