Answer:

Mark me as a brainliest please

Explanation:

No,only those constituents of a mixture can be separated one of which is soluble and the other insoluble ; in case of sugar and salt there is no solute which dissolves one and not the other so they cannot be separated.

No, a sugar and a salt dissolves in water and forms a homogenous mixture that can't be separated by filteration alone …..

But you may use some more different process to get them from solution to crystalline solid form. Like first boil the solution till the water evaporate then you may dissolve the solid content (cotain both sugar and salt in solid form) in alcohol solution…. (Sugar dissolves in alcohol but not salt )…. And you get salt settel down on bottom …. Here you can use FILTRATION PROCESS to get salt seprated ….. now boil the rest of solution and you get sugar when alchol evaporates

No, filtration process of separation cannot separate salt and sugar mixture.

Explanation:

Filtration is a method of separation of solid component from liquid solvent.

  • A porous material is used for filtering out the solid material.
  • In filtration, suspended solid matter is removed from a liquid by allowing it to move through a filter. Filter is a porous material.
  • In technical terms, size of porous membrane should be smaller for any material to serve as a filter as compared to the impurities that are to be removed.

Examples are brewing filter, kidneys are a bio filter.

Here, none of the components are liquid so that it can flow through the porous material of filter.

Salt and sugar can not be separated using filtration method. alcohol can be used for separating
