Answer: Any non Parliamentary member can be the Prime Minister of India, provided that the person gets elected in the Loksabha or the RajyaSabha within six months of taking the oath to hold the Prime Minister’s office beyond that.
In India, it has happened in the past. However, before taking the oath, the party with the majority should convey this matter to the President for their support.
