Can a particle have acceleration with zero velocity

So this is an example of how there canbe a non-zero acceleration (of − 9.81 m s − 2 ) but there can be a moment when the ball's instantaneous velocityis zero. In fact, if you hold a ball in your hand and will release it, then the ball starts its motion with non zero acceleration but zero speed.
