Answer:

First of all,

  • Distance is the total length of the path travelled by the body.
  • Displacement is the shortest distance between the initial position and the final position of the body.
  • Speed is the rate of change of distance of the body.
  • Velocity is the rate of change of displacement of the body.

Now, If we consider a body which has travelled some distance, then the speed can not be zero. We have some magnitude of the distance, hence we will have some magnitude of speed too.

Considering the same example, displacement may or may not be zero.

If the initial position and the final position of the body is same, then the body will have zero displacement. And if the body has zero displacement, the velocity of the body will be also zero, because the velocity is dependent on displacement.

Now, considering a body which is not in motion, hence, the distance and displacement will be zero. Hence, the speed and the velocity, both will be zero.

Conclusion : Any body which is motion, can not have zero speed and may or may not have non zero velocity.
