when a body is thrown upward at highest point the velocity is zero but acceleration due to gravity is possible so it is true.

Yes off course quantity may have 0 velocity but it still be accelerating.

Take a case of Ball thrown vertically upwards.

When it reaches its maximum height its velocity becomes 0 but it still has downward acceleration i.e. acceleration due to gravity (g)

Hope it helps!!
