Can a sentence have an indirect object but no direct object?

In these examples, me is the object of the preposition and no longer theindirect object. The above highlightedsentences in essence say the same thing, but they have a transitive verb and therefore can have a direct objectand indirect object (or the indirect object can be replaced with a prepositional phrase).
