Can an economy be in equilibrium when there is unemployment

Yes why not. We usually say that economy is in equilibrium when demand in the economy is equal to it's supply. Unemployment do exist in each and every economy. Even in the most developed economies a certain percentage of unemployment exists but it still can be in equilibrium.
