No, an element is not lighter than hydrogen because hydrogen has lightest atom.

SparshGupta: No, An hydrogen atom is not always lighter because it is found in its 3 isotopes.A hydrogen atom may be heavier also. Only its first isotope named Protium is lightest. Beta rays and gamma rays are lighter than hydrogen but not considered as element.
