can an object has finite acceleration and zero velocity. If yes why

Yes it is possible .....
consider a ball thrown upward and at a point it has has zero velocity at highest height at that point t it has a constantat downward acceleration by gravity but has zero velocity .

yes because the object may have zero velocity.
