If it is rigid, it has one center of gravity. ... Average location of weight of anobject is considered as its centre ofgravity. A single object (whatever its consistency may be) can have onlyone such centre. Therefore, an objectcannot have multiple centres ofgravity (as assumed in current explanations of tides).
