Answer:

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity with time. As the velocity is a constant value over all the values of time, the rate of change of velocity is thus zero. So, acceleration is zero. So, zero acceleration and non zero velocity are possible for particles moving with constant velocity.

Answer: Object can have zero acceleration and non zero velocity at the same time when velocity is constant ,that is in uniform motion.

Explanation:

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity in unit time.

That is,

a = dv/dt

Now, if acceleration is 0, we have

dv/dt = 0, which implies that v is constant.

This constant value can be any real number, including 0.

Here,

Acceleration is zero when body moves with constant velocity.

Thus,

Object can have zero acceleration and non zero velocity at the same time when velocity is constant , that is in uniform motion.

For Example ,

A car traveling at a constant 90 km/h in a straight line has nonzero velocity and zero acceleration.

Here velocity of car is 90 km/hr. in straight line and has zero acceleration and non-zero velocity.

Hence, Object can have zero acceleration and non zero velocity at the same time when velocity is constant .
