Completing The Square Method,

let us consider the below equation
2x²-5x+3=0

first step is to make the co efficient 1
divide both the sides by 2

now We have

x²-(5/2)x+3/2=0

Now send the third term without x one, on RHS side=

x²-(5/2)x=-3/2

now the most important step multiply the second term of LHS by 1/2 and add the square of the product on both sides. now the LHS becomes an identity. so you have both LHS in square

Send the square on RHS thus it will become a root on RHS and since it's a quadratic equation you'll get two answers

Hope this helps

abhilasha14: iska matlab hume important step ko pehle 5 bana parega or uske bad dono sides me 5 ka square yani 25 ko add krna parega ❓❓
RishabhBansal: nahi 5/2 ko 1/2 multiple karna hai or uske baad uska square karke dono side add karna hai
abhilasha14: yani 5/2 ko 5/4 bana kr use 25/16 krna h ❓❓
RishabhBansal: ha
abhilasha14: ohk thanks
abhilasha14: u made it easier to me
abhilasha14: it was a big task to understand it
abhilasha14: thanks a lot
RishabhBansal: welcome

completing the square method...
sabse pehle u have to make the constant of first number 1.
for that divide each no. with the first constant no.
now take the 3rd no. to RHS side.
ab jo second no. hai uske constant me 1 upon 2 multiply karo and add it to LHS and RHS (don't take the variable)
u will see that the LHS will be in the form of (a+b)^2 or (a-b) ^2
combine the identity and solve the equation...
u will get the value of x.

hope it helped... kuch samajh na aaya ho to ask in the comments section...
