Class 8 project: To obeserve that microorganisms release carbon dioxide and
release of carbon dioxide depends on temperature.
Materials: 2 PET bottles of 250ml, dry yeast, salt, sugar, maida, and small
baloons.
Procedure
1) Take two 250ml PET bottles. Fill the bottles with 100ml water. Add ¼ tea
spoon of sugar, ¼ tea spoon of salt and 1 tea spoon maida to water.
2) Add 1 table spoon of dry yeast to both PET bottles.
3) Fix a baloon on both the bottles.
4) Keep one bottle in refreigerator and one bottle at room temperature.(It is
recommended to measure both, the temperature of refrigerator and room
temperature)
5) Observe both the bottles for 6 hours. Take a picture every hour.
Write down the experiment in following manner,
