Sardar Full Singh was born in 1881 in a village of Abbotabad district, now in Pakistan. His father's name was Sardar Kartar Singh Bhagar who was a government employee. Full Leo was the eldest son of his parents.


Sardar Purna Singh's early education was in Rawalpindi. After passing high school, he went to Lahore. He passed the F.A. examination from a college in Lahore. He later studied in Japan.


During the study in Japan, Sardar Full Singh's gift was received by Swami Ramitirtha. Impressed by Swami Ramitirtha, he took his retirement there and returned to India. After Swamiji's death, his thoughts changed and he started to live a householder by marrying them. 

Sardar Purn Singh had a job in Dehradun but after a while he left his job due to his independent nature and went to Gwalior. Even after not feeling inclined, they started farming in the village of Jadaabala in Punjab and started farming. He died in 1931 AD. Sardar Purn Singh has written a total of six essays in Hindi, which include: 'true valor', 'civilization of conduct', 'wages and love', 'America's Mast Jogi Walt Whitman', 'Kanyadan' and 'Purity' . From these six essays, Sardar Purna Singh ji has made his permanent place in the field of Hindi prose literature.



Sardar Full Singh ji is regarded as one of the best essayists of Hindi world. Pictoriality and flow perfection have distinctive properties. The characteristic of semiotics exists in the word selection. He made a very small number by writing them a little.
