DISTANCE

1) It is the actual path covered by an object from its starting point to the final point.
2) It only has magnitude , it doesn't have direction.
3) Distance can never be zero

DISPLACEMENT

1) It is the shortest path between the starting point to final point.
2) It has both magnitude and direction.
3) Displacement can be zero.

Hope This Helps You!

distance : - total length covered by any body or person is known as distance.
distance can't be negative .only positive value of distance. it is scaler quantity .

displacement : - minimum length covered by body or person between two points is known as displacement .it is vector quantity .hence , displacement have magnitude and direction .it may be positive or negative both . displacement equal to or less then distance .
