Can any1 give some ideas on the topic of energy resources and their conservation.....

Energy resources are either natural or man made.

Hydro energy, solar energy, wind energy, ocean energy, geothermal energy are natural energy resources.  Also natural fuels (fossil fuels) like coal, oil, gas etc. are natural. We need to conserve fossil fuels as they can be depleted fast as consumption is higher and higher every year.

Electrical energy and atomic energy are man made.  These need to be conserved as they are costly, take a lot of effort to produce and distributed.  Also they are produced in limited amounts.

Electrical energy can be conserved if we use the gadgets carefully. We can switch of lights and appliances when not necessary.  We should use fuel based vehicles only as necessary.  We could use combined/shared/public transport more often than private transport.  Use of trams/local trains/metro reduces fuel/electricity consumption.

We could switch of engines during wait times at all the signals.  The vehicles should be maintained properly and serviced periodically for efficiency.  More efficient vehicles should used and manufactured.  Electric, and solar scooters, cars, buses could be used.

We could use induction stoves at homes rather than regular electric stoves or gas stoves.  Induction stoves are more energy efficient and clean too. Biogas and green fuels should be used.

   We should not waste any type of material, food, chemical, medicine, appliance, drink or anything.  To produce any item, electrical, thermal, fossil fuel energy is used.
 
   If we have half-a dozen more of the atomic power plants in the country, then probably energy conservation may not be a severe requirement.  Atomic energy and solar energy are abundant in the world.
