here is ur answer
All midterm elections are elections…but not all elections are midterm elections.

The only noticeable difference is that there is not an election for Electoral College Voters in midterm elections. Only Congressional Representatives, 1/3 of the Senate, and any state or local offices which the state decides to put on that ballot.
