A is ethanol (C2H5OH)

B is ethanoic acid (CH3COOH)

When A and B react in presence of an acid catalyst, a sweet smelling substance called Ester is formed

Reaction :

C2H5OH + CH3COOH -------> CH3COOCH2CH3 + H2O

OR

I C2H5OH +H2SO4 --------> C2H4 + H2O

II 2Na + 2CH3CH2OH --------> 2CH3CH2ONa + H2

III CH3COOC2H5 + NaOH ------->C2H5OH +CH3COONa

Hope this helps

A=C2H5OH

B=CH3COOH

when A and B reacts it leads to formation of ester and water

C2H5OH+CH3COOH=CH3COOC2H5+H20
