X=2 and y =2

Step-by-step explanation:

3x= 2+2y

X= 2+2y / 3

2+2y/3+3y =8

2+2y+9y/3=8

2+11y/3=8

2+11y= 8×3

11y=24 - 2

y=22/11 or y =2

now x=2+2×2/3

x=6/3 or x=2
