Rob Forbes began with two drums with different modes and he told Evelyn that, " try to hear the sound of the music by sending it through your mind and body, not through your years." Evelyn realised that she can sense the music through her entire body and she got to know that she can sense the sound of higher drum from her lower waist and of lower drum through her upper waist when she was starting to learn music. it was through her determination and hard work. she had given many performances in concert, hospitals, etc. whenever she was in the stage, she would remove her shoes to feel the sound through her feet to her upper legs and when she played the xylophone, she felt the sound through the sticks to her fingers. she herself said that the music spreads into the different parts of the body, she could feel them in her cheeks, brain, hair and the entire body. Evelyn knew how to open the brain to sense the sound of music and that is how she became a percussionist.
