4 km/hr -----2/3 x
total distance =x .....
5 km /hr ----- 1/3 x
so for 2/3 x = >time taken(1) = dist/speed = 2/3x / 4
then time taken(2) = 1/3x / 5
add two times , (1) + (2) = total time , 1hr 24 min = 1 hr + 24/60 hr = 1+ 2/5= 7/5 hrs
so 7/5 hr = 2/3 x/4 + 1/3 x /5= 1/6 x + 1/15 x =7/30 x
then x = 30/ 5 = 6 km
next q => gravitational force by body= 50 N
to balance the upward and downward force ...
20N +X (upward) = 50 N (downward )
so , X = buoyant force = 50 -20 = 30 N
