Answer:

ya but questions one by one then only

answer of give reasons

3. (1 ).Reason: Gases have a negligible intermolecular force of attraction between the particles of gas. As a result, the random motion of particles in all directions is experiencing in the vessel. Hence, the gas fills the vessel in which it is kept.

(2).The pressure exerted by a gas is due to the random motion of particles in the gas. Gases have weak intermolecular forces and the particles in continuous random motion and these particles collide with the walls of the container. These collisions with the walls of the container exerts pressure on the gas.

(3).Reason: It has a definite shape and volume. It is very rigid and cannot be compressed, i.e., it has a solid characteristic.

(4). because in solids particles are closely packed but gas is spread all where, that is only the reason.

4. The density of ice is less than water. Liquids generally have lower density as compared to solids but ice floats on water. When water freezes to form ice, some empty spaces are created. As a result, volume increases for the same mass of water.

2. (a).

  • Rigidity: It is the property of matter to resist the change of its shape.
  • Compressibility: It is the property of matter in which its volume is decreased by applying force.
  • Fluidity: Matter can flow.
  • Filled a gas container: On filling, a gas takes the shape of the container.
  • Shape: Having definite boundaries.

(b).

1. Rigidity: The condition which does not alter the shape of solids.

2. Compressibility: Compressing particles of gases is called compressibility.

3. Filling a gas container: In the laboratory, after the preparation of gases, they are collected is a gas jar. This is called filling a gas container.

4. Fluidity: Fluidity means flowing liquids freely.

5.Shape: Things are in which form is called shape.

6. Kinetic energy: The energy possessed by a moving the body is called kinetic energy.

7. Density: Density is the mass per unit
