Answer: I gave a photo as my answer . Here is the rule :

In the 1st picture , one square is in the middle of another square , in the 2nd picture 4 squares are inside the bigger square , near it sides . There are 4 square for a square has 4 sides .

Similarly in my answer I have 3 triangles (because a triangle has 3 sides) inside a bigger triangle near it sides.
