Given Dimensions are:

The Length of the room = 12m.

The breadth of the room = 8m.

We know that Area of the room = length * breadth

                                                     = 12 * 8

                                                     = 96m^2.

Given that Breadth of the carpet = 75cm = 3/4 m.

Length of the carpet required to carpet the room

= Area of the carpet/Breadth of the carpet

= 96/(3/4)

= 96 * 4/3

= 128m.

Given Rate of carpet = 116.50 per metre.

Therefore cost of carpeting the room = 128 * 116.50

                                                               = 14912.

Hope this helps!

ShagunJagdev: how 75cm is 3/4?
siddhartharao77: Convert it to metres. 75/100 = 3/4
