we know that angle 40°+x°=180° [linear pair]

=> x=180-40

= 140° {value of x}

we also know that sum of opposite interior angle = exterior angle so,

y=> 90°+40°=140°{value of y}

and in the case of next angle

y=140° (proved above)

so y + angle C=180

140+C=180

C=180-140

= 40°

now using the same method used in calculating the value of Y

= 40+40= 80° {value of Z}

now adding all angles

x+y+z

=140+80+140
