Answer: SP=RQ=PQ=SR = 6.5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

a) The most suitable name for the quadrilateral will be " Rhombus"

b) For finding out length we will need to use pythagoras theorem.

As every point of PQRS is at the midpoint of the rectangle.

SA= 1/2 DA =1/2*5 = 5/2 , similarly DS=CQ=QB=5/2 cm

Now , DR=1/2 DC = 1/2 *12 = 6cm , Similarly DR=RC=AP=PB=6cm

Now finding out the sides of PQRS using Pythagoras theorem,

SP^2=(SA)^2+ (AP)^2

= 25/4 + 36 = 42.25

Hence SP=\sqrt{42.25\\} =6.5 cm , SP =RQ = PQ=RS= 6.5 cm  (as every side of rhombus is equal )

Answer:

length of AB(given)=12cm

lenth of AP=12/2=6 cm

because p is mid point of AB

length of AD=5cm

length of AS=5/2=2.5 cm

bcoz s is mid point of ad

length of ps

=√6²+2.5²

(using Pythagoras theorem becoz <SAP 90 degree)

√36+6.25

√42.25

6.5 cm

total length of pqrs 6.5+6.5+6.5+6.5

26 cm
