y=q-x

since rational - rational = rational

this implies that q-x = rational
this implies that y is a rational number
but since y is an irrational number
therefore it is a contradiction
therefore sum of rational and irrational= irrational

jainshreyansh: did u understand?
jainshreyansh: then if u can mark it brainliest then it would be great
