Can anyone correct the grammar in the following passage:
Ruskin Bond is an Indian author of British descent. He lives with his adopted family in Landour, Mussoorie, India. He is considered to be an icon among Indian writers and children's authors and a top novelist. Most of bond’s works are written in the contemporary period. He wrote his first novel, “The Room on the Roof”, when he was seventeen which won John Llewellyn Rhys Memorial Prize in 1957.
in 1992 he received the Sahitya Akademi award for English writing, for his short stories collection, "Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra", by the Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters in India.
Ruskin bond writes about nature and ordinary people and their daily lives. His stories are written in a simple, lucid and engaging style. He writes as if the incident is unfolding right in front of his eyes. Some of his other noteworthy contributions to the world include: “The Blue Umbrella”, “Delhi Is Not Far”, “Roads to Mussoorie” and “A Face in Dark”, which is about Mr. Oliver’s encounter with a mysterious figure in the forests of Simla.
