When a conductor moves through a magnetic field a voltage is produced across the conductor this is called Electromagnetic induction. OR When a conductor is placed in a changing magnetic field causes the production of a voltage across the conductor is called Electromagnetic induction. This produced voltage causes a current to flow through the conductor which is called Induced current. Electromagnetic induction can be achieved by varying the magnetic flux associated with the conductor. Two ways of varying magnetic flux: 1)The conductor moves in a magnetic field. 2)The conductor is placed (not moving) in a varying(changing) magnetic field.
