just like that in quadratic equations we already have alphabets and numbers. so , for not to create confusion we use these alpha and beta. if you aren't suitable you can use letters like capital A or capital B.
and you know that alpha +beta=-b/a and alpha*beta=c/a.
you can write it like A+B=-b/a =coefficient of x/ coefficient of x²
A*B=c/a=constant term/coefficient of x²
