Brutus and Cassius were indulged in the murder of Julius Caesar . Brutus told the people of Rome that he didn't killed Caesar as a result of any personal envy but his love for Rome was more than his love for a single person.Brutus told that in future Caesar might prove dangerous for Rome so they killed him.He insists that caeser was great but ambitious . He feared that the Romans would live as slaves under Caesar’s leadership. The people of Rome cherished and cheered for brutus .

Then enters Antony with Julius Caesar's body .He was grief - stricken. Brutus explained to the people of Rome that he was not indulged in the conspiracy but that he will now be part of the new commonwealth.   The people of Rome cheer Brutus’s apparent kindness, declaring that Brutus should be Caesar. At  first Brutus didn't allowed Antony to speak anything in public but when Antony promised him he would not tell anything against him then brutus agreed and allowed him to speak in public .

Till now the public believed that Caesar was ambitious and brutus did take right decision to kill Caesar . But they wait to hear Antony.

Antony asks the audience to listen, for he has come to bury Caesar, not to praise him .
He acknowledges Brutus’s charge that Caesar was ambitious and maintains that Brutus is “an honourable man,” but he says that Caesar was his friend. Antony continues that Caesar sympathized with the poor.He reminds the crowd of the day when he offered the crown to Caesar three times, and Caesar three times refused. He ponders aloud whether this humility constituted ambition.

Then Antony told the mob about caesers will but he will not read it as it would go against the honourable man .But the mob wants to listen to the will. Then Antony told them about the will of Julius Caesar .After the mob gets the news that Caesar left them some nice gardens and 75 drachmas each, they decide to cremate Caesar in the holy place and burn down the traitors' houses with the same fire.

This depicts that every mob has dual nature and Caesar was not ambitious ....

hope this helps...

The thing is that in act3 scene 2 is........
after the death of Caesar.. i am going to explain
Brutus and Cassius hit the streets surrounded by crowds of common folks.so many people are clamoring there to hear them that cassius takes one group off while the other stay to listen to Brutus speech.   now Brutus start his speech.
he says He rose against Caesar not because he don't love him ,but because he love to the Rome more. If Caesar will still living they'd all be slaves .while Caesar was a lot of good things he had die for his ambition . To have let him live would be to submit to slavery, and that's downright un_Roman.
Brutus asks whether anyone doesn't love to Rome and freedom, and of course the answer is No. So obviously Caesar had to die. and after finished his speech then he introduce to Antony  to the crowd and close to speech by restating that he slew his best friend for Rome's sake and that he will turn the same Dagger on himself if his country need his death.(sounds like foreshadowing ).

So every one is very happy by Brutus and some calls to give statue among his ancestor and to make him the new Caesar..
Then Antony takes over, with the famous  speech  beginning ; friends , Romans, and countrymen , lend me your hear ; I came to bury Caesar .not to praise him  . i just want to asks everybody that how Caesar was ambitious .let me talk about him he refused three time to crown and weeping with the poor, so honorable Brutus and other conspirator how is he ambitious he love with his citizens a lot and he leave a paper in which he have write something for Romans then citizens are told to him to read that page but he carrying on his speech and say that if i will read this  page than you all will demanded for Caesar hair for his memory and you all will cry .. he have given his all things to the rome like 75 gold coins to every Romans and his personal garden ..by this type of speeches he wined the heart of Romans ..after his speech all the Romans are fire and they all says that to kill Brutus and all the conspirators...
