Can anyone explain me balancing of REDOX REACTIONS by the ION ELECTRON METHOD?

Please make me clear.

In the ion-electron method (also called the half-reaction method),we have to separate the redox equation into two half-equations - one for oxidation and one for reduction. Each of these half-reactions is balanced separately and then combined to give the balanced redox equation.

Balancing Redox Reactions Using the Half Reaction Method. ... Themethod that is used is called theion-electron or "half-reaction"method. Example 1 -- Balancing Redox Reactions Which Occur in Acidic Solution. Organic compounds, called alcohols, are readily oxidized by acidic solutions of dichromate ions.
