Can anyone explain me how did it became 4*7 from 7/2​

Answer:

to subtract 77/8 from 7/2

7/2 on multiplying 4 on both numerator and denominator

(7×4)/2×4

=28/8

hence 77/8  -  28/8

 = (77-28)/8

  = 49/8

The basic idea behind taking LCM of that one has to equate the denominator to a same number. In the above question, the first term is77/8. since the LCM is 8, there is no need to make any changes in the first term . second term is 7/ 2. in order to make the denominator 2 to 8, we have to multiply both the numerator and denominator of the second term by 4(since 4x2=8). we have to multiply the numerator 7 the same number 4. the second step the term becomes 4x7
