for eg we have to find the zero of polynomial
x+5

so,
we will write the equation and we will put it equal to zero.
like this,
x+5=0
now find the value of x and you will get the zero of the polynomial.
like this
x+5=0
x=-5

let's check
we have found the value of x
now put it in the equation.
x+5=0
-5+5=0
0=0
hence,-5 is the zero of the polynomial x+5
