4x² + 6x + 2

Here you have to take all coefficient they are 12, 6 and 1

you have to split the middle term in such a way that

Let's write the equation in variable form

x² + y + z

Split y such that lets say we split y as a + b

split y such that. a + b = y and a X b = X

For eg

8x² + 6x + 1

4x² + 4x + 2x +2

then group

(8x² + 4x) + (2x +2)

= 4x (X + 1) + 2 (X +1)

= (4x +2) (X+1)
