can anyone explain me the orbitals and everything inside an atom
Answers
Explanation:
Atoms are made up of electrons, protons and neutrons. They are known as subatomic or fundamental particles.
the chemical behaviour of atoms are of 3 types:
a. Tendency to Lose electrons
b. Tendency to Gain electrons
c. Tendency to Share electrons
Orbits are the imaginary paths traced by the electrons in the empty space surrounding the nucleus. Each orbit is associated with a definite amount of energy called energy level.
These energy levels are designated as K, L, M, N etc.. starting from the innermost shell.
An atom is electrically neutral because the number of protons and electrons present in it are the same thus balancing the total charge of the atom.
electrons are negatively charged particles.
protons are positively charged particles.
neutrons have no charge.
Hope it helps you..
