Ciao,
DC Motor:
a motor is a device which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. a wire carring vurrent is placed in a megnetic field experience a forve .this is the basic principle of an electric motor.
working:.
in it current passes through the armature that rotates in the magnetic field. in dc motor the brushes are connected to a dc supply or a bettery. when current flows through the armature coil,the force on the conductor produces torque that rotates the armature.
if the current in the coil were same direction all the time the torque on it would be reversed afrer each revolution. but at this momment commutator reverses the direction of cyrrent that keeps the torque in always in the same sense.when vommutator changes its direction it creates a jerk in the smooth running of armature.
AC G enerator:
it work principle is faradays law of electromegnetic induction. when a coil is rotated in a megnatic gield by some mechanical means ,megnatic flux through the coil changes,and tgus emf is induced im the coil.
dear i have a call i just come.sorry
to know its working let us consider a loop of wire of areaA placedcin a uniform megnetic field B . the loop is rotated about z axis through its centre at constant angular velocityw. one end of loop is attached to meta ring R and other with R'.these rings are called slip rings are concentric with axis of loop and rotate with it.and by their rotation motional emf is produced.
formula for calculation of this is
e= NwAB
AC Generator :
dc generator is similar to ac in construction except "split rings" are used in place of slip rings. these rings are attached to ends of coil that rotates in the megnetic field.when current us zero and about to change direction the split rings also change tge contact with carbon brushes. in this. way output remains in same direction.
i hope that it will be helpful for you .stay blessed☺

HarshalHere: Thanks for the answer I appreciate you taking time and answering me
hira62: no problem .pleasure to help you ☺
