Answer:

parallelogram is a quadrilateral and opposite sides of parallelogram are parallel

area is the space under the boundary of any closed figure when we draw a parallelogram and a perpendicular from it's one vertices to the opposite side we get height of parallelogram and a triangle when we take the triangle to the other side and join it then it becomes a rectangle

then the area of rectangle = area of parallelogram

therefore l×b = area of parallelogram but the breadth of rectangle = height and length of rectangle = base

then area of rectangle = b×h
