Scalar quantities are those quantities which can be described by its magnitude alone. For eg :- Distance, Speed, etc.

Vector quantities are those quantities which can be described by its magnitude as well as direction. For eg :- Displacement, Velocity, etc.

Scalars are quantities that are fully described by a magnitude (or numerical value) alone.

Vectors are quantities that are fully described by both a magnitude and a direction.
