Answer:

the civil war was fought between 3 groups in russia.they were the Reds(Bolsheviks), the greens(socialist revolutionaries) and the whites(tsar supporters). the whites controlled most of the Russia . they were opposed by the French, American and the Japanese troops because they were worried about the growth of socialism in Russia. when these troops and the Bolsheviks fought the civil war, looting and famine became common in Russia. the whites took harsh steps towards the peasants who had seized land. due to this the whites lost their support. after this, the Bolsheviks controlled most of the Russia.they succeeded because of the partnership with the non Russian nationalities like jadidists. the Bolsheviks created the USSR, that is, the Soviet union in December 1922. but they became unpopular because they made the people to follow harsh rules like discouragement of nomadism .
