Given P divides AB in the ratio 2:3
P=(3a/5,2b/5) ??????????????

Given P = (-5, 2)
         A = (a, 0)
         B = (0, b)
Let m:n = 2:3 (ratio in which P divides AB)
W.K.T.,
P = ((mx2+nx1)/(m+n) , (my2+ny1)/(m+n))
P = ((2(0)+3(a))/(2+3) , (2(b)+3(0))/(2+3))
P = (3a/5 , 2b/5)
By comparing P = (-5, 2) and P = (3a/5, 2b/5)
We get a = -25/3
            b = 5
Therefore, A = (-25/3 , 0)
               B = (0, 5)

psanjay900: Hey W.K.T.
honeysvb: W.K.T means we know that (it is a formula of internal point)
