can anyone explain why cl2 is reduced and h2s is oxidized gimme proper answer an I gunna Mark ya brainliest wrong ans or spam you are gunna be reported​

Oxidation not only means the loss of electrons, but also the addition of oxygen and removal of hydrogen.

At the same time,

Reduction means the addition of hydrogen and removal of oxygen.

Thus,

in this case, H2S is getting oxidised by Cl because, Cl has less valency( valency = -1)

while S has valency 2- thus , hydrogen is loosing an electron and is oxidised and,

cl is reduced as it is getting hydrogen
