Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the three consecutive natural numbers be n, n+1 , n + 2

Given,

5 times smallest number is 9 more than 4 times greatest number.

=> 5 * n = 9 + 4(n+2)

=> 5n = 9 + 4n + 8

=> 5n - 4n = 17

=> n= 17.

Thus the numbers are 17, 18, 19.

The three consecutive natural numbers are 17,18 and 19

Given :

In the three consecutive natural numbers ,

Five times the smallest number is 9 more than four times the greatest number.

To Find :

Three consecutive numbers

Solution :

Let three consecutive numbers be alike n , n + 1 and n + 2

As by given five times the smallest number is 9 more than for times the greatest number.

So the equation will be alike,

5 \times n = (4  \times (n + 2)) + 9

5n =( 4n + 8) + 9

5n = 4n + 17

5n - 4n = 17

n = 17

Hence,

n + 1 = 17 + 1 = 18

n + 2 = 17 + 2 = 19

The three consecutive natural numbers are 17,18 and 19
