Palampur is a hypothetical village where agriculture is main production activity. Moreover, dairy farming, small scale manufacturing, transportation and shopkeeping are the other production/non-farm activities. It is well connected with neighbouring villages and towns with all weather road. It is a developed village with schools, health centres and a bus stand.
75% of the villagers in Palampur are dependent on farming. Small scale manufacturing like jaggery production involving simple production methods is done by some people in the village.
